Need a smoke fix?

Posted in General at 8:08 pm by Rob

A British company has developed a vaccine that prompts the body’s immune system to create antibodies which bind nicotine or cocaine in a person’s bloodstream, preventing it from travelling into the brain. This means these drugs are no longer able to stimulate the reward centres in the brain that cause cravings.

So far testing has given a 57% success rate to those involved in the trial. Side effects can include soreness at the injection site and flu like symptoms that last about 24 hours.

Considering the trouble I am having with this issue, I welcome it. The problem, it is about five years out from being available to the public.

Cumin

Posted in Nutrition at 8:39 pm by Rob

The first major study of Cumin in cancer prevention and treatment was performed by scientists at Cancer Immuno-Biology Laboratory of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. They concluded that a healthy immune system will detect and destroy cancer cells before the cancer endangers the patient, including colon and breast cancer. Cumin can be effective for both cancer prevention and treatment.

It also has powerful antioxidant effects and protects the liver from damage by drugs and chemicals.

Chicken curry anyone?
