Pics added
I added a few pictures to the gallery. Got an ok one of the fires up north from about 15 miles away. I will see if I can get a little closer in the next few days unless they get it out.

Ever feel like an idiot?
I am not easily deceived for the most part. My views are based on gathering the facts and making my decision based on those facts. I do not watch much TV and when I do it is the History, Science and Discovery channel’s. The closest thing to reality TV I get is American Chopper. I do not read fiction and most of the things I do are computer and science related. Documentaries make the bulk of my viewing experience and for some time I have considered myself pretty bright.
The other night I found exactly how wrong I have been. I have heard for some time that I should go see a movie called “What The (Bleep) Do We Know!?”. Those that saw it told me it would change my perspectives on many things. I had no idea what it was about but I put it in my Netflix queue some time ago and forgot about it.
Well, it came and I saw it. It is supposed to be based on quantum physics and how one can use it for personal improvement amongst other things. Now, I do not know much about physics but I have been interested in it for some time and enjoy listening to Dr. Michio Kaku whenever I come across him.
Not having any background or even a small understanding of this field I was amazed at the things talked about here. It was like a documentary and a movie rolled into one. Granted, the movie part was goofy but they had all these “experts” that were in it that had, or so I thought, experience in quantum physics. To hear them discuss how we create our own reality, emotions and neuro-peptides and how they tie togethersounded logical.
There were many things shown that made it believable to someone who had no understanding of all of this. When this field physics of super-strings and alternate realities then why can’t this be part of it? There were parts I couldn’t understand, like how one person said that if every fiber in a persons being believed it then a man could really walk on water. The closest I can get to that is when I step in some after my son spills water on the floor.
But, like I always do, I went looking for more information. I look for good and bad information to help me kale my decision. Thats when I came across this site. To find that one of the “experts” is channeling a 35,000 year old warrior spirit from Atlantis. The guy that can create his day was a chiropractor, most of the “experts” , the directors, producers and writers are students of this “warriors” school.
Now I understand the fool that I am. I do believe that one can create their day though. Not in the “change one object to another way”, but more of a “If I get up and tell myself that I am going to have a positive day, I will.” way. I woke one morning and told myself I was going to stop smoking and I did. I find that if I “tell” myself that the day will be a good one before it starts then I most often do.
Bad things happen, it is how you react to and perceive them that determines how they effect you. Then again, if I bought into this…..
Anyway, I have some envelopes to stuff for a company that contacted me in the mail and will pay me $7 per so send them. Take care.
I added a photo gallery and integrated it into the site for kicks. Link is to the right. I am not much of a picture taker so nothing special but I did want to play with the software. I still have to customize it a bit more but it is coming along. If you cant see the link you can get to it here.
Well, we got a new addition to the family. I would like you to meet Chopstick.

I am not a big fan of cats but the wife decided that since I got two new lizards that she needed another cat. I just hope my allergies can hold out.
This past weekend I took a small vacation with my family and wifes parents. I did not want to go at first because me and the in-laws don’t get along that well. They are ok people but just get on my nerves most of the time. The main reason for going was because they were off to Sedona. About 90 minutes from Phoenix, Sedona is beautiful country and about 20 degrees cooler that here.
My main goal was to get out in the rocks and do a little climbing and get into nature a bit. The night we got there I found that we were going to be in a 12X40 foot, one bedroom lodge. Perfect for six people. Not much to do the first day as it was almost gone by the time we got there so we made the best of it till the morning.
I let everyone know that I wanted to see the rocks. They are deep red and contrast well with the surrounding environment. We took a drive and the entire time I got to see locations that the in-laws had been to but never got out of the car. Then it was off to go shopping for the ladies before going back to the place we were staying.
Not once did I get to get outdoors. The trip was a small success because I caught a pair of Sceloporus tristichus. You can see pictures at this site. I got them home and they are eating well.
Oh well, I guess there is always next time.
