Today was my interview and the financial institution I am applying for. I think the interview went quite well. They said they should call be Friday to let me know if I get the second interview. This round remains a draw while the judges tally the results. We should know soon who the winner of this round is.

The biggest thing about modifying ones eating lifestyle is the notion that you can’t eat your favorite foods. Cake, ice cream and other foods need not be off the menu. What if you like to go out to dinner every other week on pay day and have a great desert? I say, go. Look at it this way. Let’s say that you are on a 2000 calorie a day diet.
That is 14,000 calories a week and 28,000 every two weeks. Eating a 600 calorie item works out to be about 2% of your entire caloric intake for those two weeks. Denying ones self of the pleasures in eating is a sure way to fail. If you go for 95% good eating and 5% is treats for staying on it then that means you can have that treat once a week or lets say it is 1200 calories then every other week is still within your goals.
To see where you fit in, take your daily caloric intake and multiply it by 7 to determine your weekly intake. Find the calories of your treat item and divide the weekly in to the treat item. That number will be .xxxxx. Move the decimal over two places so it is now xx.xxxxx and that will be the percentage of your weekly intake that this item will take. If that number is 05.x or lower then you are within your goals. Just remember that if you are on a special diet, you will need to account for what you are eating.
So treat yourself to that piece of cake if you want. You deserve it.

Well, The first three business days of next week I have interviews. The first is at an insurance company, the second is with a staffing company and the third is with a financial services company. I am not too interested in the staffing company but the pay is good so we will see. It really is a toss-up between the first and third and the third has a great pay and benifits package but the first is about eight miles closer to home and I dont think the pay is quite as good.
Now to hold my breath.

So what do you need to do if you have been taking off the weight and then it stops? Most people think that you need to eat even less than before and that is a bad way to go about things. The body learns to adapt to your routine rather quickly, be it in your exercises or in your diet/caloric intake.
To overcome this, eat more. Increase your daily intake by about 200 to 300 calories a day. Eat larger portions or have an extra snack during the day. Just remember, quality calories are important so don’t think you can add some cake in the mix. One of two things will happen. You will either kick start your fat burning again or you will put on a pound or two.
Don’t worry if you gain because after that week you are going to reduce caloric intake again to what you were doing and you should start losing again. During your entire time in your weight loss phase keep your exercise up and increase the intensity as often as your body will allow.
